Visit by UNESCO Director-General Koïchiro Matsuura to Bosnia and Herzegovina

UNESCO Director-General Koïchiro Matsuura visited Bosnia and Herzegovina on 25 March 2008, and delivered the World Heritage Committee certificate of inscription on the World Heritage List of the Mehmed pasha Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad to the Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Haris Silajdžić, at a ceremony held in the Presidency building.

The Commission to Preserve National Monuments held an exhibition in the City Hall, Sarajevo, to mark the visit of UNESCO's Director-General. The exhibition displayed the monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the World Heritage List and the UNESCO Tentative List.
